The aQa group at Leiden University welcomes applications for Postdoc positions, which will be supported by the Quantum Delta initiative. Topic: We are looking for individuals with an excellent academic record interested in the development of new quantum algorithmic methods for near-term quantum computers, with a focus on hybrid quantum-classical computing (see research line: The project focuses on the development of novel solutions for combining classical and quantum computing, (quantum) formal verification of quantum circuits, quantum circuit optimization and simulation of quantum computing. We especially invite applications from students in the late stages of their Ph.D., as well as young researchers with a strong background in theoretical quantum computing and many-body physics, but also computer science, quantum chemistry, AI and mathematics, who are excited to learn about quantum computing. Duration: the post-doc positions can range between 1 and 3 years, depending on the candidate. Furthermore, successful candidates from outside the Netherlands may be eligible for the 30% ruling on tax deduction for the whole duration of the position.
